We have made it!!!

Hello All Bloggers,

This course was a little rough but it turned out to be a very helpful course.  I thought this course will be somewhat like College Comp I, but this course had more to offer and expected more from the students.  Without our great professor this course probably wouldn't have been such a easy ride.  My classmates were also helpful and very supportive.  In the profession I'm getting into, writing is a very important skill to have to be successful.  I was nervous writing the final paper but the KUWC, professor, and my classmates help me to write a good paper.  I have worked very hard and took a lot time to make sure I could put a smile on the professor face while she read my paper. I would like to wish everyone a happy and successful endeavors!

How do you feel about writing at this point? Has your idea of writing changed throughout the course?

Hello All Bloggers,

I feel a little bit more comfortable writing.  I had a lot of great support and help from my classmates and professor.  Writing isn't an easy thing to do, if you weren't born with that talent.  I use to struggle really hard with writing a paper.  I didn't know it was art and it took different techniques to create a interesting paper.  My idea of changed throughout the course a great deal.  I learned more from College Comp II than College Comp I.  I need to still work on creating a solid thesis statement, but I will continue to strive and have a great paper!

Excitement

Well this week my fiance' and I celebrated our 28th birthday on December 2.  I know this is a little odd but we were born the same month, day, year, and born in the same hospital.  I didn't believe him at first until he showed me proof that he was born on that date and place.  We have known each other since we were 14 years of age.  This has been a great year for us and I'm hoping to spend many of more birthdays together as one!!!! And not to mention my goddaughter also shares our birthday with us as well :)

How do you feel about peer reviews? What have your experiences with them been like?

Hello All Bloggers,

I never had a bad experience with peer reviews they have seem to be very positive comments but not so much feedback on how to make your paper any better.  I feel we are all trying to become better writer's and we are afraid to say something as if we might be giving some wrong advice.  At times I feel paranoid with putting my final draft out to have peers review because I think someone will take some of my ideas.

The experience I have with peer review is saying that it will be a great paper. I more afraid of my grammar and punctuation  more than anything.  I'm thankful for KUWC!!!!

My busy weekend

I'm in the process of packing for 5 to go to Pittsburg for the weekend.  I have my fiance' our three girls 9, 4, and 19 months to pack for which I have to wash and do their hair by this evening.  Not to mention I have to finish my schoolwork and studying also.  I still have to squeeze in my 30 mins of workout today.  The positive side is that I'm a stay-at-home mome, but it comes with alot of work.  I can't wait for this day to be over so I can relax and enjoy my weekend!

By the way...how do you add more photos to your profile?  Thanks in advance :)

How is school influencing your life at or up to this point?

Hello Bloggers,

School is influencing my life in a positive way, I say that because my kids are excited about going to college because they see me in college.  Being in school also made more confident and made my self -esteem higher than before.   I thought at first I would do well because of my nerves, but I'm doing very well and I love the challenge it presents itself!!! I love being in school!

Based upon your reading on plagiarism, why do you think we need to cite our sources?

Hello all my Bloggers!

I believe it is important to cite sources of any kind, because we need to give the author credit for his/her great ideas.  Performing plagiarism is like stealing from the store.  How can you give yourself credit for something you didn't have to work hard towards? It's sad that people want to take shortcuts to succeed, but doesn't want to try their best and feel good about their achievements. I will never want to be in the plagiarism category, that isn't a good look for anyone!
